What is Work Management Intelligence
Most organisations know that work is happening. Few know how it is actually structured: who owns what, whether decisions get made, where capacity quietly disappears.
Work Management Intelligence is the discipline of reading that structure from data that already exists. Not from impressions. Not from surveys that measure what people think is happening. From the actual shape of tasks, projects, and teams in the tools where work lives.
When you can see that shape repeatedly, over time, you can tell the difference between a team that is managed and a team that is designed. That distinction is what AOWLab measures.
Telemetry shows what the system records. Surveys show what people experience. WMI reads both, and the gap between them is often the most valuable finding of all.
“ An agent cannot fix what has not been defined. ”
The measurement framework
A structured framework for reading how work is organised. Tool-agnostic by design: Asana is the first connector, not the definition. No additional tracking required.
Structure
Is work defined? Owners, deadlines, context, goals.
Flow
Does work reliably reach done?
Load
How much energy leaks into coordination instead of work?
Resilience
Does work survive the absence of individuals?
Adoption & Readiness
Do people actually work in the system, and are they ready for AI?
WMI Score
One composite score across 23 metrics. Maps to maturity levels L1–L5, each guarded by qualitative gates.
The AoW Matrix
Every measured company lands somewhere on this map. The centre is the market benchmark. Most teams believe they sit higher than their data says. That gap has a name, and it predicts how AI adoption will go.

Diagnostics
Two analyses read the same organisation from two sides. One reads your system's data, the other how people experience it. Where they disagree is a finding.
Read the system.
Connect your work management system read-only (Asana today, more connectors on the roadmap). In minutes you get your WMI Score band, your quadrant on the Matrix, four headline metrics, and how you compare to the market.

Read the people.
A short, anonymous survey measures what telemetry cannot see: coordination load, meetings, tool fragmentation, and the informal networks work actually runs on. Aggregated from four respondents upward.
AoW WMS · anonymous
See where they disagree.
Put the two side by side and the distance between what the data shows and what people experience becomes visible. That distance is the Perception Gap, quantified in a 30-minute read-out call.

Network
AOWLab is operated within the Architecture of Work network, an international framework for the study and application of Work Management Intelligence. Research is conducted by Mercanto Europe SE, delivery in the Czech and Slovak markets through Worki Design, and the underlying technology is built by Neowara Solutions.
